NAIL THAT STYLE

So much of Motion Design, as a freelancer or full-timer, is executing a style that might be picked out before you come on the project. In this class, I’ll break down not only HOW to look at reference, but WHAT to take away from the reference - and most importantly -
HOW TO PUT YOUR STAMP ON YOUR VERSION!

Being a ‘Swiss Army Knife’ takes time! And patience! And how do we put OURSELVES into the art so it doesn’t feel too close to the reference?!

I’ll answer all these questions and more in this class! Seeing a referenced style you’re being asked to execute, and feeling grossly under-equipped, is a debilitating feeling! I know! I’ve had it plenty. What this class aims to do is to help us break down the reference we are being shown and to distill what makes it successful so that we may be able to emulate similar facets for our own style frames. Let’s get after it!

Every Class Includes

1 - 30 Minute Video

Follow along as Justin walks you through the class topic using both tutorials and show-and-tell style instruction, all mixed in with helpful tips and motivational passion nuggets for good measure!

1 - PDF with Assignments

The secondary component of each class is a PDF which will give you multiple assignment options meant to support the class’ teaching and give you real-world work for your portfolios.

Infuse YOU into the reference and you’ll never go wrong. Period.
